A Trip to the Beach

We were lucky enough to be invited to spend a couple of days with my sister's inlaws at their beach house. Of course, I saw it as the perfect oppoturity for a current family photo. The sun was behind the clouds, and all seemed perfect. But, apparently, my sons inherited their father's sensitive eyes, so everyone with a penis couldn't stop squinting. Throw that together with the boys' need to play with the sand (including the smallest one), and Jack's leg getting cut off in the image, and this is what we got. LOL It won't be blown up into a huge print, but I still love it.

The big guys loved the ocean. Collin, for adventurer, loved to get in the waves and "surf the sand."

Jackson was more cautious and really enjoyed looking for shark's teeth and cool shells. Lucky for him, my sister's inlaws are fossil hunters, so he had a great guide!

Owen loved the little pools of water that the tide left for him to splash in. His time was short, but he loved it!

Ryan loved the sea, but preferred the sound. I love this shot of him though.

And I tried for a good group shot, but again, not terribly successful. Oh well. . .

I think is my favorite. Collin's shorts wouldn't stay up, Ryan was doing exactly what I asked, and Jackson just HAD to look at Owen. But, I do love it!

On the last day, our hosts treated us to lunch, including watermelon.

It was a great two days!
