More sitting up!

Here is Mr. Owen, enjoying his toys and sitting in his room right before bedtime. He sits up for a good long white at a time, usually. When he does fall over, he can almost get himself back up, and he can roll himself onto all fours, where he rocks and lunges himself forward. LOL He is 5 1/2 months now, and thinks that he is at least a year.

He's eating several "meals" a day now. He loves fresh fruit, but will also eat "baby food." He enjoys steamed broccoli, pita bread, toast, banana, canteloupe, crackers, mac & cheese, cooked apples, and pretty much anything else you'll give him. He rarely gags or chokes. I'm so impressed with him! I didn't plan on letting him have anything but breastmilk until at least six months, but he totally had other plans as he removed it from our hands. He even dove into a cupcake at a recent birthday party. He quite enjoyed it, too!

The big guys are off with daddy today (it's his day off) to go spend time with Aunt Miranda and Cousin Lexi. Hopefully they'll behave in the car; Brian's car is really small for three of them, but the van is in the shop getting the automatic door fixed.

So, while Owen is sleeping, I'm going to edit a few photos of him, then go brown 16 lbs of hamburger and get it ready to freeze for fast meals.
